sure they have The Pretender, their first single that bears the trademark of this band which is fast, loud and catchy, but just listen to Home, very sentimental and.. urm soft, not very soft actually, because of Grohl's voice makes the song somehow sounds raw.

When I was a kid I used to watch this sitcom with my uncle and my cousins, and since my mother language isn't english, I didn't get a thing of what they were saying. but my uncle really enjoying it. he told me "you can learn english with this"... but how could I learn english if I didn't know where to start ?!.....

but they don't put the show on air anymore. but if they do, I think I'm going to enjoy it just like my uncle did. it's funny, it's no racist, and it's funny. I think it's hard to find any vcd or dvd recording of this sitcom, I don't think there's any digital recording. we only have it on that oldschool magnetic tape which I think is not exist anymore.

Maybe this is a little bit too late, but I still think it's not very too late. and this entry is for those who play Metal Gear Solid.

anyway, I've seen this clip of the upcoming new Metal Gear Solid forth installment a few months back, it's a preview of the gameplay of the game.

well, my prediction of the game is that we going to have a few more new moves like, sneak crawl as you can see at 4:10 onward and new gadget, like the new camoufladge suit.

at the ending of the clip you can see a young guy lighting up cigar, I think he is Otacon, if he is Otacon, we going to play as him in this upcoming game, like we play Raiden in MGS 2. but if he is not, I think he is Snake himself. why he wasn't look so old ? because he has that camouflage suit, so he can make himself look younger.

I think I will just wait and see.

an oil painting on canvas would probably cost you 10k either it in $, or ¥, or £, or RM.
a caricature of your simple face can dig from your pocket RM 10.
a potrait could make you RM 50 poorer.
and I think you Malaysians have heard that MAS have bought an art piece that priced RM 3, 000, 000 and made them broke.

yes, it is always about talent. people don't develop talent overnight.
an artist took years and years of development of talent, development of stroke, of style,
of favorite choise of medium, development of everything.
from a stick man drawing, to detailed real life-like man,
through and over of gruelling practices, researches, comments, critics, under estimations and whatever you think you can put on the list.

and these whole learning process is nonstop. there are always new things to discover in art.
and learning needs money by the way.

IdeA

building the idea is a living hell, everybody knows that, especially if you're working in any creative department.
it takes times, a lot of times to build a good idea, and a lot of times more to make a very good one. sometimes it took just a couple of hours, sometimes ridicolously it took years. I have a drawing that I was started working on it since 2003 but just finished it last year.
and these mind block sometimes came out of nowhere just the time we need the idea the most.

and then, we have have to transfer the idea to the paper. this is when things getting more complicated.

MaterialS

Art is not just about idea, it's about perception. it is about how the artist define the world we living in and translating it to the canvas.

Dehydration

To treat or prevent chapped lips, consider these tips:

Use an oil-based lubricating cream, such as lip balm containing petrolatum or beeswax.
Apply lip cream, balm or lipstick before going out in cold, dry weather. Reapply several times while outside.
Choose a lip cream or balm that contains sunscreen. Sun exposure contributes to chapped lips.
Avoid licking your lips. Saliva evaporates quickly, leaving lips drier than before you licked them.
Avoid using a flavored lip balm, which can tempt you to lick your lips.
Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids. Dehydration can contribute to chapped lips.

Akuma is one of my favorite Street Fighter character, he's fast & powerful, but most of his moves command are kind of complicated -maybe not if you're a hardcore player.

of Being an Artist : Part 2 (last part)

Graphic artists, illustrators, painters, etc., are skilled tradesmen. As such, to consider them as, or deal with them as, anything less than professionals fully deserving of your respect is both insulting and a bad reflection on you as a sane, reasonable person. In short, it makes you look like a twit.

A few things you need to know;

1. It is not a “great opportunity” for an artist to have his work seen on your car/’zine/website/bedroom wall, etc. It IS a “great opportunity” for YOU to have their work there.

2. It is not clever to seek a “student” or “beginner” in an attempt to get work for free. It’s ignorant and insulting. They may be “students”, but that does not mean they don’t deserve to be paid for their hard work. You were a “student” once, too. Would you have taken that job at McDonalds with no pay, because you were learning essential job skills for the real world? Yes, your proposition it JUST as stupid.

3. The chance to have their name on something that is going to be seen by other people, whether it’s one or one million, is NOT a valid enticement. Neither is the right to add that work to their “portfolio”. They get to do those things ANYWAY, after being paid as they should. It’s not compensation. It’s their right, and it’s a given.

4. Stop thinking that you’re giving them some great chance to work. Once they skip over your silly ad, as they should, the next ad is usually for someone who lives in the real world, and as such, will pay them. There are far more jobs needing these skills than there are people who possess these skills.

5. Students DO need “experience”. But they do NOT need to get it by giving their work away. In fact, this does not even offer them the experience they need. Anyone who will not/can not pay them is obviously the type of person or business they should be ashamed to have on their resume anyway. Do you think professional contractors list the “experience” they got while nailing down a loose step at their grandmother’s house when they were seventeen?

If you your company or gig was worth listing as desired experience, it would be able to pay for the services it received. The only experience they will get doing free work for you is a lesson learned in what kinds of scrubs they should not lower themselves to deal with.

6. (This one is FOR the artists out there, please pay attention.) Some will ask you to “submit work for consideration”. They may even be posing as some sort of “contest”. These are almost always scams. They will take the work submitted by many artists seeking to win the “contest”, or be “chosen” for the gig, and find what they like most. They will then usually have someone who works for them, or someone who works incredibly cheap because they have no originality or talent of their own, reproduce that same work, or even just make slight modifications to it, and claim it as their own. You will NOT be paid, you will NOT win the contest. The only people who win, here, are the underhanded folks who run these ads. This is speculative, or “spec”, work. And for those who are looking for someone to do work for free…please wake up and join the real world. The only thing you’re accomplishing is to insult those with the skills you need. Get a clue.

Every day, there are more and more Craigs List posts seeking “artists” for everything from auto graphics to comic books to corporate logo designs. More people are finding themselves in need of some form of illustrative service.

But what they’re NOT doing, unfortunately, is realizing how rare someone with these particular talents can be.

To those who are “seeking artists”, let me ask you; How many people do you know, personally, with the talent and skill to perform the services you need? A dozen? Five? One? …none?

More than likely, you don’t know any. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be posting on craigslist to find them.

And this is not really a surprise.

In this country, there are almost twice as many neurosurgeons as there are professional illustrators. There are eleven times as many certified mechanics. There are SEVENTY times as many people in the IT field.

So, given that they are less rare, and therefore less in demand, would it make sense to ask your mechanic to work on your car for free? Would you look him in the eye, with a straight face, and tell him that his compensation would be the ability to have his work shown to others as you drive down the street?

Would you offer a neurosurgeon the “opportunity” to add your name to his resume as payment for removing that pesky tumor? (Maybe you could offer him “a few bucks” for “materials”. What a deal!)

Would you be able to seriously even CONSIDER offering your web hosting service the chance to have people see their work, by viewing your website, as their payment for hosting you?

If you answered “yes” to ANY of the above, you’re obviously insane. If you answered “no”, then kudos to you for living in the real world.

But then tell me… why would you think it is okay to live out the same, delusional, ridiculous fantasy when seeking someone whose abilities are even less in supply than these folks?

someone from Select Application called me last 2 weeks, asking for my interest on working as a call operator.
of course I am interested ! I need a new job afterall !
well, not that I meant that I hate my current job, it's just.. well.. I want to experience something new, being a call operator for sure is something new to me. my current job doesn't need me to talk, but not this one. so it's a challenge for me !

Instant Noodles anyone ?!

To me, when we talks about instant noodles, the right term to use is not "cook", but instead "soak".
I attended boarding school, in place like that, we didn't have luxuries of home. we didn't have kitchen, but we had dining hall, we don't have electric water heater, but alternatively we had to go to the dining hall to get some hot water.
so, we put the noodles into some tupperware or just simply water bucket, pour the hot water, the seasoning, and there you have it. instant noodles !

and since, I get customed to this technique. cooking instant noodles is not my thing.

when I was in colledge, it took 2 packets of instant noodles to satisfy my hunger, one packet is not enough, my stomach has grew bigger I guess.
4 years ago when I was an upper 4th former, we used to have instant noodles as our supper for almost every week, especially during the STP exam, so it was like our weekly ritual.
when I was in form 5, I ate instant noodles every time I get back home, because I just couldn't have any at the hostel. and I was already addicted to it.
when I was a 4th former, I soak fried instant noodle in bucket with cold water.
when I was in form 3, in our cooking class, my classmate said that it's about a year since she had her last instant noodle.
when I was in form 1, my senior soak the noodle in a drinking tupperware, so he drank instant noodle.

memory o memory.....

I really don't know what to say, but i need to update my blog.

anyway, I turned 23 this month, this week to be precise. a year older, a year nearer to senile and of course a year nearer to death. to think of it, there are still a lots of thing that I really want to do, to achieve, to experience, to have, to treasure.
but the fact is I'm running out of time, and therefore, deep down inside me, i hate growing up.

lets answer some question people.
how old are you right now ? 20 ? 17 ? or 25 ?
so lets assume you are 25 years old, what have you achieved of your 25 years of living. ?
what's your major accomplishment ?
what did you give to your family ?
what did you contribute to the country ?

personally i have none of those, and none of a lot more.
I envy those young people with huge accomplishment eg.nicole david.
I was like a person on a side of a river tempting to get to the another side but just didn't see any bridge and too scared to swim. so the questions arise, do i have to jump and swim risking my life from drowning, being tired, crocodiles, and cold water ? or just simply find some woods from some forest full of unexpected things and build a bridge though it will take forever ?
if I have the answer, I'll keep it to myself. but, how about you, ? what do you do. ?

Time is something we don't have, and cannot have, if we have the time we'd probably turn it back to undone some mistakes, to cherish someone we loved before he/she gone, to experience youth again and to do a lot more things.
Time makes life full of mistakes, full of bad things, full of experience. and Time as well, makes life hard.
it's just the matter of us, that make life harder.

Amongst other things i really like arts. almost every kind of arts, and personally, i'd like to call myself an artist though not a professional one.
starting form this point on, lets assume that i am an artist.

so, what kind of artist am i ,? well, one of a kind.

i'm into singing. yes. i used to sing for other people with very low payment when i was in school. now i only sing for myself.
but i really have a good time doing that, i think everybody had a good time when they singing, or just simply humming to their self. it entertained you.

i don't play any instrument, but once i did programming a piano play on my computer with a simple piano program with my own song. i lost the file somehow. i really want to play piano, read the notes, and have a piano of my own. hope that will come true someday.

visual thingies:
i do drawing. i'm a comic artist technically, and i have my own comic when i was 14. that was about 9 years ago. my friends read them. i drew it directly from scratch. i mean, no script, no storyboard whatsoever. i build the idea in my head and drew the pages. the result sucks. i kept it in a file, when the school about to start a new semester and things start to be disorganized, i lost the file and all of the precious things that i kept in that file.

for the time being, drawing is the most active past time activity that i do. and once in a while, i post the artwork on my page on deviantArt. take a look !.

sometimes busyness killing you

i'm busy, very busy, busy busy busy busy busy busy busy.... like hell.
well. after i quit my school, i go to work.
i work for 12 hours with 1 hour of rest for 6 hours period for 7 days.
if u were me, u'd have no life.
u wake up from sleep u go to work.
u back from work u go to sleep, and do it everyday.
it's a labour job, no wonder no rest day for me.

right now, i'm on a leave for a week. i think i'm going to do some shopping, some overslept, some this & that, u know, enjoying myself for these precious 7 days.

gombak no water lah !!!!!!

hye guys, having a good day ?! well, not good enough for me TT_TT.. this is the 2nd day of water cut out in gombak, the consequence of the accident that happened on saturday involving lorry with a full tank of kelape sawit oil. the clash caused the tank to simply bocor and filling sungai gombak with oil.

it'll take 5 days to clean the river -5 days omg !!!-, so then they has to do something to stop the oil from flowing into the gombak water tank. in the end, it's water outage -can we use outage right here ?- for gombak residency including sg pusu .. TT^TT..

they'd send water lorry last night at 2.00 am, they were about 2 @ 3 of them, and people started bringing pails & basins. we have to ration our water usage, & i can't enjoy any proper shower, or bath.
anyway, i hope this'll gone quickly. any of u experience the same thing ?.

i took this photo for my ic i think. the picture was suppose to be bigger,
